Junior Classes & Camps
Mary Beth Kohberger understands that in order to teach children to play golf you must first teach them to love golf. Our camps and classes focus on building an enduring love for the game.
Pee Wee classes are limited to 6 students. All other classes and camps are limited to a maximum 8 :1 students:teacher
The goal of all of our golf instruction for children is to prepare kids to be able to go out on the course and enjoy the game. Of course we teach the fundamentals of the golf swing, putting, and chipping, but we also teach rules, etiquette, nutrition, and fitness.
Playing golf helps kids learn lifelong lessons. In our junior classes and camps, we teach students how to set goals. They learn perseverance and how to deal with failures which helps them to reach their goals. This leads to self-confidence. Through the golf games we play, children are taught honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship.
Head of junior instruction is Leadbetter Kids Certified Instructor, Mary Beth Kohberger, a PGA member, NJ Section PGA Junior Golf Leader and a USKids Top 50 Kids Teacher in the world.
All camps will include on course playing time as well as an occasional guest speaker on a wide variety of golf-related topics. Campers ages 7 - 17. Older campers will also have the opportunity to mentor younger kids in the Pee Wee class.
